FEAT -- Furthering Educational Assistant's Thinking

A joint NAES College, MFT Local 59, Minneapolis Public Schools, and MCTC “No Educational Assistant Left Behind” Learning Project.

The FEAT Program (Furthering Educational Assistant’s Thinking) was created as a partnership to meet the current and future needs of Educational Assistants and School Related Personnel (EASRP) in the Minneapolis Public Schools. The “No Child Left Behind” legislation requires that all EASRP earn 60 semester credits or the equivalent by January 2006. The partners see this as an opportunity not only to help you develop your skills and effectiveness in the classroom and schools, but also to carry out and reach your personal goals as a professional educator. The partners are committed to helping you achieve your short and long term educational and professional goals. The contents of this site were developed to assist you in beginning to plan your strategy to meet the “No Child Left Behind” requirements. It suggests a number of different ways that you can complete your 60 semester credits. In addition, we are working to expand our scope of partners to include programs in which you may want to continue your education.

Our current partners include:
