Admissions Criteria

Requirements for admission:

  • Be resident of the community where the campus is located.
  • Be actively involved in some aspect of community development.
  • Have a high school diploma or a GED.
  • Be at least 24 years of age; or have an Associate of Arts or Science degree; or have successfully completed at least 60 semester hours of transferrable credit. Limited exceptions may be made for 18-24 year olds under special, provisional conditions.

All degree candidates, whether full or part-time, must submit a completed application and financial aid packet

Tuition and Fees (subject to change without notice):
1-11 credits (part time) $ 208.00 per semester credit
12-15 credits (full time) $2,500.00 per semester
16 or more credits $ 208.00 per semester credit
Summer Semester $ 208.00 per semester credit
Advanced Study $250.00 per semester credit
Audits Fees vary at each campus
Non-refundable General Fees:
Graduation fee $ 50.00
Each returned check service fee $ 10.00
Registration fee $ 20.00 per semester
Building fee $ 15.00 per semester
Copying fee $ 35.00 per semester

 

Each campus may have fees in addition to those listed above.

Tuition Payments:

No admission or registration is complete or valid until all financial arrangements have been completed. Any student owing money to the college from a previous term, or who has not made mutually agreeable arrangements with the Financial Aid Office for payment, will not be registered nor have transcripts released until such financial obligations have been met.

Financial Aid

All students are responsible for the payment of tuition and ensuring that all financial aid applications are filled out accurately, and in a timely fashion. A variety of financial aid sources may available to help defray or cover tuition costs.

These include:

  • Federal PELL Grant
  • Federal Work Study
  • State Education Grants at some campuses
  • Tribal Education Grants
  • Private Scholarships
  • The NAES College Endowed Scholarship

Please contact the local NAES College campus financial aid office for financial resources information regarding state scholarship and grant opportunities. These resources vary from state to state, and often have varying deadlines.

In addition, NAES provides Internet access to assist students in searching for the wide variety of scholarships and grants available to American Indian students.
